Afghan spy chief wounded in attack

KABUL: Afghanistan's intelligence chief has been wounded in an assassination attempt, officials said Thursday.

Asadullah Khalid was injured in a grenade attack in a guesthouse in Kabul, a senior government official and police told AFP.

Khalid had been rushed to hospital and given blood transfusions, officials said. (AFP )
